Why You Should Drop that Class

For most of the states in America, school season has already started.

For most schools, you can drop out of class within the first week of school without a record on your transcript. After that you can drop out of class after a certain period of time with a W(withdrawal) on your transcript. I highly do not suggest that you drop any courses unless you are 200% sure the course isn’t for you. You should always keep pushing yourself in your studies. Don’t easily choose the drop out option. If there’s a slight hint you can handle the course, don’t drop out. If you are going to drop a course, it would be better off to drop your class at the beginning so that you focus on your other classes or choose a different class to take.

Projects are Too Difficult

The first and foremost thing you should do when you go to your first day of lecture is READ THE SYLLABUS. Typically, the syllabus should note your responsibilities and big projects or assignments you must complete. If these projects are too difficult for you to complete, you might consider dropping out. Studying Tips

Today was actually my first day back at university. I tried so hard, but I still had to take morning classes, physics at that! I’ll probably need to fix my sleep routine, because I was still half asleep at 8:30 A.M!!

Since school season has already started, I thought it would be a good idea to refresh some studying tips to excel in your classes!

Syllabus Notes

Read the Syllabus. Create a schedule. Note each due date and exam dates. Note all responsibilities you have for the class, such as talking in graded discussion, turning in your assignments in the proper folder, and organizing your assignments correctly.

Keep a Positive Mindset

Studying is worth the time and effort because knowledge is power. With a positive mindset, you can turn your worst subject to one of your best subjects.

Take Better Notes

Maybe the style of notes that you are taking is not as efficient as you think it is. Try different styles, such as Cornell notes, quick outlines, charts, or bullets, to see which helps you remember lectures better. You could also change the way you’re taking notes such as typing notes in class rather than handwriting them down.

Try reorganizing or paraphrasing your notes. This will help imprint concepts into your mind. DO NOT write everything down word for word. Do not be too absorbed copying in quantity. Instead, learn concepts and materials from your notes as you write.

Color Code Your Notes

Color Coding your notes may speed up your memory if you keep the colors consistent. If you’re taking a test asking for which macromolecule makes up an enzyme, you may recall the answer in one of the biochemistry notes you’ve taken in blue.

Highlight Your Notes

Highlighting the important part of your notes or parts that you do not remember may help you remember which areas you need to look over. However, highlighting a majority of your notes would not help you.

Online Lectures // Class Lectures

Although lecture slides are posted online, this does not mean that it would not be beneficial in attending class. Instead, look over the lecture slides before class so you could actively learn the material as your instructor presents it to you. Don’t work on other assignments in class. PAY ATTENTION! Update: July Favorites

For the first part of July, I was overwhelmed with paperwork and dreadful adulting tasks that I hope will become easier throughout the years. However, the later part of July was very relaxed, which I know I will have to compensate for next month!

Blog Posts:

I think that this month marks my most productive blogging month yet! I’m still trying to finalize some Drama Reviews of dramas I watched so far this year, so please stay tuned!

I love how all these concerts and KCON events are bringing Korean enthusiast YouTubers together. I love all of their personalities and interactions with each other.

Music:

There was so many music releases that I loved that I’m afraid would make this favorite list too long.

BTS released their “Come Back Home” MV early on this month. This song is actually a cover of Seo Taiji’s song. I love the cover, especially the high falsettos.

Okay, can we talk about how LIT Zico’s new album is? I love all his tracks in Television, but “Fanxy Child” is my favorite at the moment. It is also the cypher track featured in Show Me the Money, which is a rap competition show that I hope to start soon!

G.Soul’s “Bad Habit” is so calming. I love how relaxing his voice and beats are. He’s definitely one of the underrated RnB/Soul Korean artists out there. I hope he release singles with H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS soon!

AKMU has always been such a cute sibling duo. “Dinosaur” is an adorable fun summer song! “My Darling,” another released song is also bomb.  There’s something about their music that always leave me feeling happy!

After debuting in 1PUNCH with Samuel, One finally redebuted as a solo artist. I’m loving the groove in “Heyahe,” but “Getting By” is also a hit. I’m excited to see his future songs! Continue reading

Drama Review: Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms

Three Miles, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/ Eternal Love/ Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms

Ep: 58

Drama Reviews are coming, I’m telling you!

This drama has multiple names, but I got to say Three lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms is my favorite. Yes, the title is very long, but very beautiful. It details the story of the drama. Love withstands the span of three lives and three worlds. This drama is beautiful in each and every way!

This fantasy drama is based on a novel. There is an English version, To the Sky Kingdom by Tang Qi, that I need to get my hands on!

Crystal Liu and Yang Yang star in Once Upon a Time, the movie adaption of this drama that was released earlier this month! I have been dying to watch it, but it probably won’t be a few months until a good quality and subbed video is available online. If you know of any sources please let me know! As always, I will most likely still like the drama version more, because most movie are super condensed. But I can’t wait to see these two beautiful actress and actor on screen!

Bai Qian(Yang Mi) is the only daughter of the Fox King from the Qing Qiu Fox Tribe. At a young age, she disguised as a man named Si Yin and became the trouble maker, seventeenth disciple of Mo Yuan on Kun Lun Mountain. Tens of thousands of years later, she enters a trial after being injured while resealing Qing Cang in his “prison.” With no memory and power, she enters the human realm as a human named Su Su, who innocently falls in love with Ye Hua. After her trial, she returns back to her home as the Bai Qian, who meets Ye Hua again for the first time as the respected High Goddess and female monarch leader of Qing Qiu.

There was so many pretty pictures for this drama. Please do click to blow it up on your screen!

Mo Yuan(Mark Chao) is the famous God of War. He enters a brutal war with the Qing Cang(Lian Yi Ming), the king of the Ghost Tribe.

I think I’m going to be as brief as possible for my character introductions so as not to give anything away~

Ye Hua(Mark Chao) is the crown prince Black Dragon of the Celestial Tribe, the heir of the Nine Heavens. He is very responsible and mature for his age.

Li Jing(Zhang Bing Bing) is the second prince of the Ghost Tribe. Known to be a womanizer, he later falls in love for Si Yin. However, he betrays her only to realize that she is the only one he truly loved.

Xuan Nu(Zhu Xu Dan) is Bai Qian’s childhood friend. Envying Bai Qian’s beauty, she takes a potion that allows her to look exactly like Bai Qian. Coming from a lower status, she uses Bai Qian’s appearance to seduce Li Jing. She plays as a spy for the Ghost Tribe and becomes Li Jing’s bride. Continue reading
